Historical Society Meeting

Meetings are held at the
new home of the society located at the corner of Wellbaum and Wengerlawn Road in the Worman or Swanktown School building. The public is invited to attend and bring along old photos and stories to share with friends and neighbors.

Official: Tax Free Status Granted

Our status as a non-profit organization has been recognized by the Internal Revenue Service. We are a tax free publicly supported organization under 501 (c) (3). The official paperwork is on file at the township offices in the historical society section.

 

Dodson Elevator

This black and white photo is of the old Dodson Elevator before it burned down.
 

Rare Brick Barn

This barn and the house still stand on Sweet Potato Ridge Road. The buildings were constructed from bricks made on the property about 1876. J. A. Binkley was the original owner and responsible for the building seen today.
